Ohio Water Rescue teams deploy to North Carolina for Hurricane effort
This is the track for Hurricane Florence; it is currently a category 4 hurricane.

DAYTON, OH (WOIO) -

Ohio Task Force 1 will depart to the Raleigh, North Carolina to supply additional resources for Hurricane Florence.

A Water Rescue Team left for the capital around 9 a.m. on Sept. 12.

The 16-member team allows Urban Search & Rescue resources to establish or enhance operations in a water environment.

The make-up of the crew is as follows:

1 Water Rescue Manager

2 Water Rescue Squad Officers

4 Boat Operators

5 Water Rescue Specialists

1 Logistics Specialist

1 Medical Specialist

2 Support Specialists

According to a spokesperson, firefighters from Bedford and Euclid are on the team.

This is the second water team to be activated for departure.

At winds up to 150 MPH, Florence is expected to be the most severe hurricane to hit the North Carolina in history.
