THOUSAND OAKS, CA (WOIO) - Investigators said 13 people have been killed in a mass shooting at a bar in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Sergeant Ron Helus with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office was one of people shot and killed in the incident.
Thousand Oaks is about 40 miles northwest of Los Angeles.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said the gunman is dead.
The name of the suspect has not been named at this time.
Investigators have said they have not identified a motive at this time.
Authorities said hundreds were at the bar at the time of the shooting.
Witnesses have told reporters some people broke windows to escape the bar during the shooting.
