Woman carjacked at gunpoint after accident in South Euclid

SOUTH EUCLID, OH (WOIO) - A 22-year-old Beachwood woman was carjacked at gunpoint after an accident early Saturday morning.

South Euclid police said around 2:15 a.m., the victim was rear-ended while stopped on Cedar Road at Warrensville.

The other driver pulled up next to her and suggested she follow him, so they could survey the damage together.

Both drivers pulled onto a side street and when she got out of her car, with her phone in hand, one of the passengers in the suspect’s vehicle grabbed the phone, pulled out a gun and stole her car.

After the carjacking, the victim flagged down an officer on patrol at Warrensville Center Road and Stanhope.

She gave officers a partial plate and description of the suspect’s car and officers learned the vehicle had been stolen out of Cleveland.

There are no arrests.
