Funeral services for George H.W. Bush as nation bids farewell to former president

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Memorial services for President George H.W. Bush continue Wednesday as his casket is moved from the U.S. Capitol rotunda to Washington’s National Cathedral.

The casket procession will begin at 10 a.m. while services at the National Cathedral will be held at 11 a.m.

The president’s son George W. Bush, who also served as president, and several other friends and dignitaries are expected to deliver eulogies.

Additionally, President Donald Trump and first lady Melania will be in attendance alongside former presidents Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton.

Following the services in Washington, Bush’s casket will return to Texas on Wednesday before being laid to rest at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library in College Station.

The 41st president died last week at the age of 94.
