AKRON, OH (WOIO) - Stan Hywet’s annual “Deck the Hall” Holiday celebration is underway with one million lights in place, blanketing the historic home and gardens.

The Akron home is the former residence of F.A. Seiberling, co-founder of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. The Tudor Revival, a National Historic Landmark, has opened its doors for the 2018 holiday season. Twenty rooms inside the home are decked out inspired with a “Winter Wonderland” theme.

The estate includes five historic buildings and 10 gardens on 70 acres, and almost all of it is lit up for the holidays.

The home and gardens, located at 714, North Portage Path in Akron is open for tours December 6-9, 13-23, and 26-30.

Each night the historic home is open Santa enters the courtyard, stands in the shadow of a giant Christmas tree and flips on the lights, just feet away from a Gingerbread Bakeshop.

A light show, Dazzle, is choreographed to holiday music and plays in the gardens.
