According to the police report, officers first responded to the home in the 900 block of Dryden Ave. around 9 a.m. Saturday.

They arrived on scene to find a woman holding her grandchild.

The woman’s two daughters had been fighting when, police say, 32-year-old Erin Johnson picked up the infant in frustration and threw the baby down onto the couch. Johnson then picked up the infant and threw it a second time.

Police say Johnson was unable to carry on a conversation and was emotional. She was reportedly rambling about how she is blamed for everything and said she needed to “see someone” about her postpartum depression.

Johnson was arrested at the scene and charged with child endangerment. She has since been freed.

The infant was transported by ambulance to a local hospital to be evaluated for injuries. No word on the baby’s condition.
