KENT, OH (WOIO) - Kent State University is investigating after custodians found feces on the floor and a swastika drawn on the window of a campus building.
University officials tell Cleveland 19 News it’s a case of criminal vandalism.
The news shocked some KSU students, who say they want to see whoever is responsible caught.
“Definitely disgust, because who smears poop all over everything and does a swastika, so yes, definitely disgust," said Parker Morris.
“Everyone should take this very seriously and it should be discussed in the classrooms as well," said Brittany Watts.
"I think that if someone is going to exhibit some kind of hate, it’s just awful.“
University officials believe the vandalism happened not long before it was discovered around 10 p.m. Sunday in Satterfield Hall, the language arts building.
The location of the crime also surprised some students.
“Especially to Satterfield, English and where most languages are studied. That’s surprising," said Morris.
“It’s kind of a different place to do that, I suppose, but anywhere is awful," added Watts.
Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to contact the Kent State University Police at 330-672-3070.
