CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Other than four games in October, Kevin Love has missed the entire season. With a league-worst record of 8-30, they have missed him. “Let’s face it, he’s our main guy," said Coach Larry Drew at practice on Thursday. “He’s our go-to guy. He’s the guy we’re going to put the ball in his hands at the end of the game. Getting him back, it will be a great welcome. Hopefully it will be sooner than later.”

Sooner? Maybe, but Drew admits he does not know when Love will return from the toe injury. Later? Possibly. What about never? Also a possibility if the Cavaliers trade him. The Cavs signed him to an extension to keep him around, but with this season already feeling lost, would they reconsider their position with the 30-year old power forward.

Drew did not run from the trade conversation when asked. “As far as trades are concerned, I understand the nature of this business. Anybody can be traded. I’ve been in this league long enough where I’ve seen that happen. I think any deal that makes sense for any team, sure, they’ll be willing to pull the trigger. But that’s just the nature of our business.”

The NBA trade deadline this year is Thursday, February 7th.
