CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Many skiers at Boston Mills say there’s not as much snow as they’re used to but they can’t tell the difference.
“I really enjoy the weather and I just love coming out and skiing," said one young man.
So far, it's been a mild winter here in Northeast Ohio and that makes it a challenge for those who specialize in winter activities but they're making it work.
“We’ve been making snow, getting our slopes open and trying to enjoy winter, with or without mother nature,” said Thomas Conti, Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts.
Conti says business has been steady, despite the warmer temperatures.
He says it has to be 28 degrees or lower for them to be able to make snow and it’s been too warm this last week to do so.
It's the reason why there are patches of green on the hills.
“Northeast Ohio, we never know what it’s gonna bring but it does bring cold temperatures and it will come, it’s gonna start getting colder in the next couple of weeks and we’re excited for it.," said Conti
Every Friday and Saturday through February from 8pm-1am, Boston Mills offers $1 rental for equipment.
