NANTUCKET, MA (WOIO) - Kevin Spacey appeared in a Massachusetts courtroom Monday morning to face a felony indecent assault and battery charge.
The 59-year-old actor’s court appearance stems from accusations made by a man, who was 18 at the time.
The accuser alleged that Spacey sexually assaulted him at a crowded Nantucket bar in July 2016.
After the charges were presented on Dec. 20, Spacey released a video as Frank Underwood, his character from the series “House of Cards,” saying, “I’m certainly not going to pay the price for the thing I didn’t do.”
Spacey’s lawyers entered a plea of not guilty to the charge.
The judge ordered that Spacey must stay away from the alleged victim.
The next court hearing is scheduled for March 4, but Spacey is not required to be present in the courtroom.
