Cleveland police: 6 victims treated for gunshot wounds in under 9 hours

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - In just under nine hours, Cleveland police investigated four separate shootings that left six people injured overnight.

According to a report from the Cleveland Police Department:

  • Two shooting victims were injured during an incident in the 3700 block of Mt. Hermon Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. on Thursday. One victim was shot in the stomach. A second female victim was shot in the left arm.
  • Police found two men suffering from gunshot wounds in the 2200 block of Rockwell Avenue at approximately 2:33 a.m. Friday morning. A 27-year-old was shot in the foot while a 32-year-old man was shot in the leg.
  • A 34-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 1200 block of East 87th Street just after 3:30 a.m. Friday. The incident triggered a standoff with the SWAT team. A suspect was eventually taken into custody.
  • Police say a male victim was found shot in the 3400 block of East 140th Street.
