CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Police are investigating after a 30-year-old man was shot in front of a church on the city’s east side.

According to police, the victim was shot around 11 a.m. Monday, outside the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church on E. 40th, between Quincy and Woodland.

According to police, the victim is in critical condition at MetroHealth Hospital.

The suspect fled the scene and was arrested shortly afterwards on E. 55th.

Police are not releasing any names at this time.
