AKRON, OH (WOIO) - Police say Richie Jones was hit by a car, dragged down the road and left to die.
Akron officers say the driver is still on the loose.
Amanda Morrison can barely handle the death of her fiance.
“Everything’s unanswered,” she said. “There’s no way for me to answer anybody.”
The hardest questions are coming from the couple’s sons, AJ and Max.
At 3 and 4 years old, they say things like, “Take my daddy to the hospital and fix him and bring him home.”
Morrison says Jones was walking home Friday night. She says he liked to walk, even though he did have a car.
“He just went out and had a drink-- have his man time,” she said.
Around the time she was expecting him home, she saw a video of him on social media, lying in the road.
Police say someone hit him near the intersection of South Arlington and East Archwood Avenue.
“I want to know why and exactly what happened that this had to happen to him,” Morrison said.
Now, officers are looking for the person who’s responsible.
“We are looking for justice. We want our unanswered to be answered,” Morrison said. “I will always love that man.”
The funeral is going to be on Thursday.
