AKRON, OH (WOIO) - An Akron man was shot in the shoulder, after police said he ate his roommate’s chicken.
According to Akron police, the 57-year-old victim lives in a rooming house on West Dalton Avenue.
Officers said the suspect, another boarder, was cooking chicken in the kitchen Tuesday evening, when the suspect grabbed two pieces and ate them.
The suspect then grabbed the victim by the throat, threw him to the floor and shot him in the shoulder, police said.
After being shot, the victim was brought by private vehicle to Cleveland Clinic Akron General, where he was treated for a non-life threatening injury.
Officers said the incident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
Police have also not released either of the parties names.
