DELAWARE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - “Don’t drink and drive” is the message one Ohio sheriff’s office hopes to get across.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office shared a video on Facebook of an alleged drunken driver who was pulled over in the early morning hours on U.S. Highway 23 because a large traffic sign was dragging behind the vehicle.

The driver asked, “What does the street sign say?”

He, of course, denied having any drinks before driving.

The deputy told his dispatchers to contact the Ohio Department of Transportation to let them know their sign is on the side of the road.

“Make this St. Patrick’s Day weekend a safe one,” the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office posted.
