CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland Cavaliers’ Collin Sexton spent the day at Cleveland Pour behind the counter passing out coffee and muffins to excited customers.

The hour of work he spent inside the store turned out to be his first “real” job.

Here he is in action

Sexton didn’t have a summer job back at Pebblebrook High School in Georgia.

He was too busy doing this

“My job was to do well in the classroom, and everything else would take care of itself.”

Being free from distractions served him right, Sexton was considered one of the best players in the country in his 2017 recruiting class.

He was ranked #7 by ESPN, with a 5-star rating.

Sexton was ranked second in the State at his position.

In a game fueled by around the clock AAU basketball and constant workouts it’s understandable why he didn’t have a part-time job.

That same high level intensity carried over to The University of Alabama, where he led his team with 26 points, 5 rebound and 3 assists during the 2018 NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

Sexton is coming into his own on the back-end of the season; in the past seven games he’s scored 20 plus points.
