CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A cold front passed through this morning. A second cold front will drop in tonight ahead of low pressure strengthening over Canada. Low pressure moving out of the Plains will lift a warm front back north across the area on Thursday, followed by a cold front on Friday.
Short Term Forecast:
Good afternoon! Hasn’t it been a gorgeous day?! I would encourage you to get out and enjoy it because things will take a turn tomorrow.
In the meantime, we’re forecasting increasing clouds late tonight. We’ll stay dry until shortly after midnight when we expect a few hit or miss showers to develop. The peak timing for these will be between midnight and 5:00 AM. We should be dry by dawn tomorrow.
Temperature-wise, tonight will be chillier than recent nights. We’ll fall into the upper 30s by dawn Wednesday. Brr!
Chilly Wednesday Ahead:
In the wake of this evening’s front, temperatures will be quite chilly all day Wednesday. We’ll wake up in the 30s. Highs will only climb into the mid 40s.
It will definitely feel more like March than April 10th.
Dreary End To The Work Week:
I’ll start with the good news about the end of the work week. Temperatures will quickly rebound on Thursday. Highs will top out in the upper 60s. (It wouldn’t surprise me if a few spots got into the low 70s.) It’s really going to feel fantastic, albeit a little cloudy.
As I mentioned above, our next cold front will swing through on Friday. This feature will usher in widespread rain and thunder on Friday. Dry air will arrive quickly after the front passes through. We may actually get in some nice dry time by mid-afternoon. Stay tuned!
Unfortunately, this weekend does not look to be as warm as last weekend. ☹
Saturday’s high: 57°
Sunday’s high: 45°
Right now, things are looking dry and mostly sunny Saturday. Despite the fact that it will be 10° cooler than last Saturday, it still looks like a nice, pleasant day.
Widespread rain will move in Sunday. At this time, Sunday looks like a washout.
