Brother and sister find each other on National Sibling Day in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A brother and sister found each other completely by accident, and on National Siblings Day!

Bonnie Horton and Robert Horton said they were both working an event this week that helps ex-convicts get rehabilitated.

After talking, they found out they have the same father! Mr. Aaron Horton was married to Bonnie’s mother, Mrs. Patricia Horton.

“I said, ‘I’m your brother,' and she said, ‘I’m your sister." Words can’t really explain how it made me feel, but it was a wonderful thing," said Robert Horton.

Bonnie said their father died when she was younger, and she didn’t know much about his relatives.

“Like, I’m really excited about it because I didn’t know I had siblings. It was on National Sibling Day, so that was great," said Bonnie Horton.

There are now plans to get to know each other and meet the other Horton siblings. Bonnie has three sisters and two brothers to get to know.
