Surveillance video catches Cleveland Patrol Officer leaving without paying

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Video of a Cleveland patrol officer attempting to leave Walmart without paying has been released.

Patrol Officer Tashalee Norris, 34, has been suspended after being charged by North Olmsted Police with a misdemeanor and a felony.

In the video Norris can be seen attempting to leave the store and is stopped by store security. The items in her cart appear to be checked against her receipt. Norris is escorted back to a register where she pays for the items in her cart that were not scanned.

Police told 19 News that security caught Norris scanning some, but not all, of her items at the self check-out register at the Walmart Supercenter on Brookpark Road on Feb. 27.
