Alcoa plant evacuated after bomb threat

CUYAHOGA HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - Crews evacuated workers at the Alcoa plant located on Harvard Avenue after a bomb threat.

At approximately 08:24am Alcoa officials contacted the Cuyahoga Heights Police Department regarding a bomb threat left in a bathroom of the facility.

The plant was evacuated. 

Cuyahoga Heights safety forces responded to the scene and performed a sweep of the facility with Alcoa maintenance personnel.

No bomb was located, to the satisfaction of Alcoa officials. Alcoa employees were allowed to return to work.

Alcoa is the world's leading producer of primary aluminum, fabricated aluminum and alumina.
