EMS worker injured by hit-skip driver

CLEVELAND - A local EMS worker's job turned dangerous on Wednesday night, Action News reported.

Police officials said that Greg Hyde was treating a patient on West 83rd Street when a young woman driving an SUV slammed into him.

Hyde was thrown up onto the vehicle and against the windshield, and then slid off the hood.

That's when the driver took off.

Police, however, weren't too far behind and they caught the driver a short time after the accident.

Hyde was released from the hospital on Thursday morning.
