Stabbing suspect won't face a jury

WESTLAKE, Ohio - A Westlake man won't be facing a jury in his stabbing trial, Action News reported.

Timothy Reiner, 29, waived his right to a jury trial Tuesday morning and will instead be tried by a single judge.

Reiner is accused of stabbing two policemen when they responded to a call at his house last July. One patrolman was stabbed in the back, the other stabbed in the neck.

Both officers have recovered from their injuries.
