Los Angeles, CA - A plea deal has been reached in the Chris Brown's felony assault case.
Brown's lawyers made the announcement just minutes before his Monday preliminary hearing was about to begin.
The R&B star was arrested back in February and charged with the alleged domestic assault of his former girlfriend, pop superstar Rihanna.
The singer was reportedly ready to testify at Monday's hearing.
The deal includes five years of supervised probation, six months of community service and Brown was ordered not to have any contact with Rihanna.
