CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The man accused of violently slashing a beloved convenient store owner to death has been indicted.
Bobby King was indicted on charges of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and carrying concealed weapons.
Police say the 54-year-old entered JJ's Food & Deli on the city's Westside earlier this month and demanded that the owner - Maher "Mike" Dayem - cash a check.
King then walked around the counter and pulled out a butcher's knife and stabbed the 39-yera-old repeatedly. He attempted to flee the store but police arrived and arrested King while still in JJ's Food & Deli.
He's due in court next week.
