Dopes Duped: Drug Sweep Yields Arrests, Cache Of Cash and Narcotics

ALLIANCE, OH (WOIO) - A four-month investigation has yielded the arrests of seven people in an Alliance drug sweep.

The Alliance Police Department Special Investigations Unit and Special Response Team executed a search warrant on S. Liberty Avenue on Wednesday. The search warrant was the result of extensive investigation of illegal drug sales taking place at the residence.

Upon entry, officers encountered a large number of people in the residence including children. During the search of the residence officers located powder cocaine. marijuana, prescription narcotics, a digital scale, several drug paraphernalia items and $739.00 of US currency believed to be proceeds from illegal drug trafficking.

27-year-old Derrick Miller arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine, aggravated possession of drugs and possessing criminal tools.

29-year-old Michael Hickman busted for trafficking in cocaine and resisting arrest.

26-year-old Sheily Sloat cuffed and stuffed for aggravated possession of drugs and permitting drug abuse.

29-year-old Amber Shriver busted for possession of marijuana.

21-year-old Adam Priest charged with presence in a place where a controlled substance is used.

21-year-old Melissa Saunders slapped with a charge of possession of marijuana.

32-year-old Jacqueline Longobardi faces charges of deception to obtain dangerous drugs and possession of marijuana.

Miller, Hickman, Sloat, and Longobardi were taken to the Stark County Jail. Shriver, Priest, and Saunders were released after posting bond.

All are slated for arraignment on Friday in the Alliance Municipal Court.
