BROOKLYN, OH (WOIO) - 19 Action News has learned that MetroPark Rangers have arrested and charged a relative of one of the two kids rescued over the weekend from Big Creek River.
Lloyd Chapman of Cleveland, Ohio has been charged with endangering children and will be in Parma court on July 22nd.
This, after two children were sucked into a swollen river while family members were attending a baby shower close by.
Firefighter Carlos Medina was attending a family function in the area and ran over, pulled one of the boys out. Medina then located the second child who had already pulled himself out of the water but had to wait for help because the river bank was too steep for the boy to climb up.
"I was in the right place at the right time" said Medina.
Both boys are okay.
