STREETSBORO, OH (WOIO) - The body pulled from a golf course pond has now been identified.
The body of Floyd Lamont Robinson was pulled from the Boulder Creek Golf Course pond Monday morning.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol tells 19 Action News they believe the 38-year-old Youngstown man could be the suspect involved in the Thursday night carjacking on the turnpike.
Troopers believe Robinson fought with his victim, stole his vehicle and then abandoned the car before running onto the golf course to hide. Somehow, Robinson ended up dead in a pond just a few feet away from the toll road.
Autopsy results are expected later today.
19 Action News has learned Robinson had a very long criminal history, including a 1991 charge of aggravated murder but a jury found him not guilty.
