LeBron James' high school ranked No. 1

AKRON, Ohio (AP) - The No. 1 high school basketball player in the country is now on the No. 1 team.

LeBron James' Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary team earned the top spot in USA Today's Super 25 rankings Tuesday after victories over three ranked teams.

The Fighting Irish (7-0) jumped up from No. 9, helped by beating previous No. 4 Mater Dei of Santa Ana, Calif., on Saturday.

St. Vincent-St. Mary beat then-No. 1 Oak Hill Academy and No. 6 Columbus Brookhaven last month.

James (pictured, above) is expected to skip college and be the No. 1 overall pick in the next NBA draft.
