GM Lordstown Outlines Important Employee Information Upon Return

LORDSTOWN, OH (WOIO) - Lordstown Complex hourly employees currently on temporary layoff and scheduled to return to work the week of August 3rd will receive vacation pay for the weeks ending July 26th and August 2nd. Therefore, please file the necessary claims for Ohio Unemployment and SUB benefits only through the week ending July 19th.

For hourly employees still classified as on "indefinite layoff" as of August 3rd including production and skilled classifications, please continue to file for SUB and unemployment benefits.

Callback dates: All employees are to report for work at their regularly scheduled times beginning Monday, August 3rd. Those employees who are to report at differing times and dates will be contacted by their leadership.

Shift Schedule: The week of August 3rd includes a five (5) day, eight (8) hour production schedule. GM Lordstown is planning on implementing a four (4) day, ten (10) hour production schedule beginning the week of August 10th - starting times have yet to be determined. Please make arrangements as necessary to allow for the new work schedule.
