Homicide: Akron Mother, Son Died Of Blunt Force Trauma To the Head

UPDATE: AKRON, OH (WOIO) - New details surrounding the suspicious deaths of two Akron residents.

The bodies were found inside a house in the 1000 block of Johnston Street Friday afternoon and now, the female victim has been identified as 85-year-old Julianna Grna. The male victim, believed to be Grna's adult son, has yet to be formally identified.

Both victims died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head and the manner of death is homicide.

Meanwhile, the family car - a 1998 dark green Chevy Malibu bearing Ohio license plate AB15LS -has been recovered. The vehicle was found abandoned near the intersection of E. Buchtel Avenue and Straw Alley around 1:30AM Monday morning.

Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to contact the Akron Police department detective Bureau at (330) 375-2490.
