CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cuyahoga County Commissioner Peter Lawson Jones will not seek re-election in 2011.

Lawson Jones made the big announcement during Thursday morning's regularly scheduled County Commissioner's meeting.

"Eleven years is sufficient for me," Lawson Jones said. "I believe in kind of self-imposed term limits."

The bombshell announcement took some of the heat off of embattled commissioner Jimmy Dimora. Dimora is a the center of a sweeping county corruption probe and has already announced that, while he will not surrender his seat now, he will not seek re-election in '11.
