CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A SWAT call ends with a violent suspect in police custody.
It happened Sunday around 6:30PM in the area of W. 136th & Lorain.
Police were looking for 32-year-old Michael Malloy after he allegedly set his girlfriend's car on fire and beat up a neighbor.
Investigators went to Malloy's apartment but he was not at home. Later, police say Malloy resurfaced only to beat up the same neighbor again.
Cops were once again called and this time, SWAT thought the thug was holed up inside his house but it turns out he jumped out a second-story window and hopped into a getaway car driven by his mother.
The duo passed a 19 Action News live truck and Malloy flipped off our news crews.
The 19 Action News team called cops and he was busted minutes later.
Malloy is under investigation for arson, menacing, telephone harassment and contempt of court.
