Cops Coming: City Of Cleveland Gets Big Boost To Take Back Our Streets

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The city of Cleveland getting a big boost to help Take Back Our Streets.

The city has just learned it will receive $12M to hire 50 new police officers. This, in addition to the officers that were already going to hired this year.

The money will come from the federal government in connection to President Obama's stimilus package and would fund the officers for 3 years.

City Hall believes it can sustain the officers on the force after the first 3 years expire.
