CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The teenage girl accused of violently stabbing a rival to death on a basketball court went before a Juvenile Judge on Friday.
The 16-year-old charged with stabbing 17-year-old Elexis Harris in the chest at the Fairfax Rec Center on E. 82nd & Central Avenue on Wednesday.
The teen pleaded not guilty and will remain locked up in Juvenile Detention until her next hearing.
She also has cases in Juvenile Court dating back to 2005 - domestic violence, escape, criminal damaging and being unruly. She's also had a warrant out for her arrest since May.
19 Action News has learned the suspect's aunt is her legal guardian and she hasn't seen the teen so far this calendar year.
Friends say Harris and the suspect were also in the middle of a YouTube melee posted this past spring on rival girl gangs.
