CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo will be open Wednesday as usual after Tuesday's hazmat incident closed down the park.
Tuesday, a highly explosive chemical was found in one of the zoo labs.
The chemical is normally used to test animals, but it hardened into a much more dangerous form.
The Cleveland Bomb Squad reported to the zoo and was able to remove the chemical and blow it up off site.
Nobody was injured and there were no evacuations.
