CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A 13-year-old boy was shot in the face by another 13-year-old over a hooded sweatshirt.
The shooting happened in the 900 block of Thornhill.
Cleveland Police Lt. Thomas Stacho tells 19 Action News that 13-year-old Malik Pruitt Jr, was shot in the face with a .32 caliber revolver. The incident is being investigated as an aggravate robbery and felonious assault case.
Witnesses told Cleveland Police that the suspect pulled a gun on Pruitt and said he would kill him and wanted Pruitt's hooded sweatshirt.
Hamilton Barham, a witness, said Pruitt told the armed thug "you are going to have to shoot me if you want to rob me."
After Pruitt refused to give up his hoodie, the suspect reportedly pulled the trigger but the gun misfired. The teen pulled the trigger a second time and shot Pruitt in the face.
