Bling Theft: Trio Stole 16 Rings Worth $52,000 From Mall Jewelry Store

MENTOR, OH (WOIO) - J.B. Robinson Jewelry Store in Great Lakes Mall is out $52,000 in rings after thieves invaded the store during business hours Monday.

Mentor Police say the theft involved two males and a female. The three entered the store around 4 p.m. One male and the female distracted the sales representatives while the second male pried open the glass of a jewelry case and grabbed 16 rings worth about $52,000.

Sales representatives didn't notice the theft had happened until 30-minutes after the trio left the store.

The female is described as black, about 5 '6" tall. weighing about 200 pounds with her hair pulled back. One black male was described as being about 5'9" tall., 185 lbs. wearing a white long sleeve shirt and white hat. The second black male was described as being about 6'0" tall weighing 185 pounds wearing white T-shirt and jeans.
