Indicted: Former Lakewood Mayor Indicted On Corruption Charges

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A Federal U.S. District Court indicted former Lakewood mayor Tony Sinagra on federal charges in connection with the corruption probe.

Sinagra was indicted on bribery.

The former mayor allegedly gave J. Kevin Kelley cash bribes to get contracts for his private consulting business with Parma Schools. [Read the indictment]

Earlier this summer, Kelley pleaded guilty to bribery charges and is expected to be sentenced at a later date.

Kelley was the former president of the Parma School Board and an employee of the County Engineers Office.
