Bullets Fly: Angry Customer Fires Shots at Convenient Store Clerk, Two Others

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A disgruntled customer shot at a clerk and two other customers inside a convenient store late Monday evening.

The shooting happened at the K&S Market at E.65th and Fleet when cops say 48-year-old Jerry McCarthy purchased chewing tobacco and was mad about his change.

McCarthy then went home, got a handgun and returned to the store and started shooting up the place.

The store clerk not struck, but two customers were.

The first customer was treated on scene and the second customer was taken to a local hospital for treatment and was later released.

McCarthy was taken into custody and remains behind bars.

No charges have been filed at this time.
