MANSFIELD, OH (WOIO) - A published report out of Mansfield claims Humane Society officials removed 35 dead kittens from a freezer Tuesday after residents filed complaints about a home with too many cats.
The reports also says officials removed 34 live cats as well from the home.
Authorities claim in the report that they aren't pressing animal cruelty charges because the owner of the cats is mentally disabled.
The 34 cats that were found alive were taken to the Humane Society's shelter while the 35 dead kittens are being examined by a veterinarian to determine their exact cause of death.
