MAPLE HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - An arrest has been made in the deadly shooting of a mail carrier. Maple Heights Police picked up 19 year old Randi Winston. He's expected to be charged with aggravated murder.
Maple Heights Branch Letter Carrier Daniel Kondas was shot Thursday morning while delivering mail on Corridon Street around 9:45 a.m.
The 53-year-old Kondas was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition Thursday and was pronounced dead late Thursday evening.
Witnesses say he was shot in the head.
Maple Heights police are reviewing surveillance video from a nearby convenience store, where he apparently stopped during on his route.
Kondas has been with the postal service for 23-years.
