CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - 19 Action News has learned that a grand jury heard testimony in the investigation of former Cuyahoga County Sheriff Gerald McFaul Friday morning.
We're told several people were called in, including Sheriff Deputies.
McFaul resigned from office earlier this year while under investigation for misusing his position, questionable hiring and promoting criteria and for how he raised campaign money.
Grand jury proceedings are generally considered confidential until charges are filed. No charges have been filed against McFaul at this time.
A special prosecutor from Toledo, OH is handling McFaul's case.
