CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Host, Harry Boomer talks with the Clinical Director of the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, Kirsti Mouncey.
She talks about the incidence of rape and the fact that it's a control issue, not just a sex issue.
The conversation moved to who gets attacked and who does the attacking. Mouncey says it's often not the stranger on the street. It's most often someone known to the victim, a family member, father, uncle, cousin or boyfriend.
There is help available for anyone who needs it either through the center's 24 hour hotline number or the center's website.
