No Parole for Sick-Twisted Man Convicted in Brutal 1984 Attack

Cleveland, OH (WOIO) - Parole was denied today Samuel Herring.

He's behind bars for the 1984 brutal attack on Phyllis Cottle.

The Cuyahoga Falls woman was raped, stabbed in the eyes, tied up, nearly burned to death and left for dead in her car. 

Herring was convicted and sentenced to 300 years in prison.

His next parole hearing is in 2019.
