CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland Police have arrested a man accused of terrorizing his entire family and firing several shots into their home.
The shooting standoff happened just before 2 a.m. at 4110 Bush Avenue and W.41st Street.
Police arrested Michael Scholz just before 8 a.m. while he was walking a couple blocks from the scene and talking on the cell phone.
A loaded gun was found on him.
Police say Scholz burst into the home of his estranged wife and threatened to kill his wife and children.
Michael's brother was sleeping on the couch but fled the house and called 911.
Michael then went into his ex-wife's bedroom and put a gun to his head while telling to get on her knees and start praying because he was going to kill them all.
Scholz then fired at least one shot at her and hit his 15-year-old daughter, Kassandra, on the head with the butt of the gun.
A 17-year-old son, Nicholas, jumped out of a window to escape.
All three family members managed to escape. Cleveland's SWAT team responded to the scene and surrounded the house until Scholz was caught.
