CLEVELAND (AP) - The Cleveland Browns will close their 2003
preseason at home against the Atlanta Falcons, the team they beat in a thrilling regular-season finale last season.
The Browns will also play at Tennessee and Detroit and host
Green Bay during the exhibition season.
Exact dates and times will not be released until later this
month, team spokesman Todd Stewart said Tuesday.
After visiting the Titans on Aug. 7-11, the Browns will host the Packers between Aug. 14-18. Cleveland will play at Detroit sometime from Aug. 21-25 before closing the preseason with Atlanta between Aug. 28-31.
The Browns beat the Falcons 24-16 on Dec. 29, stopping Atlanta four times inside the 5-yard line in the closing seconds to secure their first playoff berth since 1994.
Cleveland and Green Bay will play in the preseason for the
fourth consecutive year.
