CLEVELAND - Police Chief Michael McGrath is asking for the public's help in locating a violent suspect wanted for shooting a male on Cleveland's east side. Demetrius Pressley, 34, of Cleveland is wanted for Felonious Assault. He is accused of shooting a 41 year old Cleveland male after the victim came to the aid of a pregnant female allegedly being assaulted by Pressley. The shooting occurred at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at the victim's home in the 1200 block of E.80 St. The victim is confined at a local hospital in the Intensive Care Unit.

Pressley is a multi-convicted violent felon with a criminal history dating back to at least 1993. His criminal record includes convictions for Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Aggravated Arson, Drug Trafficking and Receiving Stolen Property, as well as Attempted Escape, Breaking and Entering and Gross Sexual Imposition. He is classified as a Sexually Oriented Offender and is known to carry a weapon.

Anyone with information on Pressley's whereabouts is asked to call 5th District detectives at 216.623.5518 or CrimeStoppers at 216.252.7463. A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information.
