CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A Cleveland man convicted in a savage stabbing.
Dajuan Emerson was found guilty of aggravated murder and tampering with evidence.
This, after the 31-year-old stabbed Marnie Macon 74-times with a knife inside her Elton Avenue home in July of 2007.
After her death, Emerson wiped Macon's body with a household cleaner to destroy evidence of his sexual contact with her. The case remained unsolved until Emerson's DNA profile matched evidence collected at Macon's residence.
He faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment without parole for the aggravated murder charge and a maximum of five additional years for the tampering with evidence charge.
Sentencing is scheduled for November 18th.
