Lake County Sheriff's Chief Deputy William Krosier says around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, they received a call of a person shot at 72 Heckathorne Drive. The person on the phone also said others had been shot.

Deputies and rescue crews arrived on site and found a married couple, 21-year-old Amber Pollard and 27-year-old Darrell Pollard at the home along with the victims.

The alleged shooter, Darrell Pollard fatally shot his mother-in-law 51-year-old Catherine Thompson in the head.

Investigators tell 19 Action News that Darrell Pollard was moving out the home and had gotten into an argument with his mother-in-law Catherine Thompson.

Darrell went into the bedroom and got a gun and that's when his wife Amber yelled for everyone to get out of the house and ran next door for help. The shots rang out and then Darrell Pollard took off in a mini-van.

Almost two hours later, Darrell Pollard turned himself into the Mayfield Heights Police Department and confessed to the three shootings.

Darrell Pollard is currently at the Lake County Corrections Facility being held on murder and felonious assault charges.
