CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A defense attorney confirms a federal court has thrown out a lawsuit against two cops who shot and killed Brandon McCloud - a case that sparked protests since the was a teenager confronted in his bedroom.
15-year-old McCloud was a robbery suspect. Two Cleveland police officers were serving a search warrant. The officers said McCloud came out of a closet with a knife and they opened fire.
The defense attorney says the court ruled the officers had a reasonable right to use deadly force. [Read more HERE]
The attorney for the family can ask to have the case reheard or sent to the U.S. Supreme Court.
